community programs accelerator south side strong summit

The Accelerator operates an annual grant cycle to invite community-based nonprofits to apply for its various service levels.

To be considered for the Accelerator, organizations must be nonprofit corporations, preferably with 501c3 status, whose work benefits residents in at least one of the following nine South Side neighborhoods in the University of Chicago’s focus area: Douglas, Grand Boulevard, Greater Grand Crossing, Hyde Park, Kenwood, Oakland, South Shore, Washington Park, and Woodlawn.

Eligible organizations are invited to sign up for our newsletter to learn more.

The Community Programs Accelerator is in the process of making some changes to the program to better serve participating organizations. We have delayed the application process to allow the updated program to be rolled out with the next cohort of nonprofit participants. We anticipate posting the application for the next cohort in Summer 2023.
