Resilient Leaders
Resilient Leaders
Join UChicago's Community Programs Accelerator as Dr. James Miles discusses how leaders and teams can achieve their goals and beyond, while also building improved wellbeing.
Lodestone R3 Institute's, Resilient Communities Initiative, partners with leaders and teams to promote resilience building practices in organizations and communities. By integrating well over 20 years of HeartMath research into an outcomes oriented, immersive leadership development, co-learning experience. The Resilient Communities Initiative helps leaders and teams achieve their goals and beyond, while they also experience improved wellbeing, personally and professionally.
What is HeartMath?
For almost 30 years, the scientists at HeartMath Institute have been studying how the heart processes information, and how its intelligence affects our overall physiology. Lab validated results show that using HeartMath tools and techniques can lead to better reaction times, improved sleeping habits, revitalized energy, a stronger immune system, and so much more. The consistent practice of these resilience-building skills has also been shown to promote increased situational awareness, along with enhanced understanding and effective decision-making, in even the most challenging situations.
This workshop will be offered in two sessions on March 16 and March 23 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM CST. Registering for this event requires attending both sessions.
Session One will provide an operational definition of resilience and social-emotional coherence, including how these definitions serve as a leadership and self-regulation tool. Session Two will use everyday examples and techniques that help leaders design their own leader-team success plan and 90-day implementation strategy.
